ithn't thee cute?
and you thould hear her thpeak! Theee wath on a mithion the other night to get that 2nd upper tooth out! It wath pretty loothe but thee worked it like a fiend even though her gumth were bleeding all over her hand and the theet on her bed. I thought thee was thleeping already but a little while after we'd tucked her in I heard footthepth on the thtairth and a little voithe thaid "Mummy!!! I got it out!!!!"
She couldn't be happier with her toothless grin! Every time I see her it makes me giggle, it's just too stinking cute to see her little smile with such a chunk of teeth missing! She had kept the previous tooth that fell out and now had both upper teeth. She really wanted the $2 from the tooth fairy but hated to give up the teeth. I told her to keep them until she wanted the $2 more than she wanted the teeth. A couple days later, she crept downstairs, again long after she had been tucked in, to let me know she was going to let the tooth fairy have ONE tooth. In the morning she was thrilled to find 2 loonies under her pillow!

Not to be outdone by her sister...
Honey's 2nd upper tooth came out yesterday at breakfast. It had been hanging by the most annoying thread for days. If I could have gotten within 3 feet of her, it would have been gone on Monday! She wasn't having any of it though. So several days of gooey slurping and clicking ensued. Blech! Now it's all over.... til the next one! She doesnt' want to give it up either. I've never heard of kids who aren't willing to trade in lost teeth for cash! Must get a DNA test pronto, these girls may not really be my daughters after all!!!

Gone!
Sweetie's been working and working on her top teeth for quite some time now but until recently there was no progress. She came home on Monday with her tooth in a little tooth shaped container on a string around her neck. She finally succeeded and is very happy and also proud of the new gap toothed look she's sporting! I think it really bothered her when Honey's top tooth came out before hers. Honey's 2nd top one is hanging by a thread and you can hear her flicking it constantly. If she doesn't pull it out soon, I just may have to because the slurping and smacking is driving me bananas!!!

Success!
Honey has been working her top tooth for ages now, when she remembers!
It's been loose for a long time though and 2 nights ago while we were
tucking her in, she got me to try and pull it out but it didn't work. A
few minutes later she came running down the hall "I got it!!!" holding the tooth in her hand. She's the first one to lose a top tooth so she was pretty stoked about that.

In The Club, Finally!
Honey has been lamenting her full set of baby teeth for awhile now. She often asked WHEN she'd lose a tooth and was quite annoyed that none had fallen out yet. She's had two teeth pushing through the gums for months now but the 2 baby teeth there weren't very obliging. Finally, a few weeks ago, one started to get loose but hung on for quite awhile.
Yesterday the girls were on their way to a sleepover at Grammie & Grandad's when she showed me that the tooth was now really wiggly. I commented that I hoped it didn't fall out while she was gone because I didn't want to miss it. A little while (and probably much wiggling) later, she came back and asked if I thought I could pull it out. Since it had just gotten loose I didn't think it was ready but I could try. She wanted me to go ahead. When I actually touched it, it was really just hanging by a thread and came out with barely any effort.

She was so excited!!! she couldn't wait to show everyone her "new" smile but I'm not allowed to tell Murray, she wants to show him herself when she gets back, so no telling daddy!!! She's not giving it to the toothfairy until after he sees it either.
We were a bit rushed yesterday, it all happened as we were trying to pack for the sleepover, get ready for their walkathon for church camp and get out the door so I didn't have time to take many pictures.

Healing Right Up!
Honey's tongue looked a million times better this morning! When they say the mouth self heals quickly, they aren't kidding. It's still not real pretty but it's not a gaping, hanging open wound anymore. She still finds it tender but is able to eat without any problem today and managed to put away her supper and scarf down the freshly made cinnamon buns for dessert!
When the girls got home from school the weather was really nice so we had a snack picnic of popsicles and pineapple (the fruit cancels out the junk you know!) on the blanket out front. Someone decided to be helpful and bring the slippery plate of ripe and juicy fruit out to the blanket but lost some on the way so it had a bit of dirt on it. Lovey wasn't having any of that and boycotted it. She managed to eat her popsicle no problem though (it never hit the ground that's for sure!).
Once they were done their food they decided to do homework outside too and brought their reading books out and we read those. When it was time to do the writing portion it looked like it was about to rain so we packed it up & moved indoors.
and then it was mass hysteria!!! Sweetie couldn't figure out how to spell what she wanted, Honey didn't believe me that there was an "i" in the middle of "like" and Lovey was having conniptions at trying to figure out how to spell the "ong" part of "Kong". My hint that it was almost the same as "ing" which she does know how to spell was not enough to prevent the screaming waterworks.
All 3 were insane and I couldn't fix anybody at that stage of the game so I went out to get the laundry and hope they'd be more reasonable when I came back. I have no idea why I thought this miracle would suddenly happen but it gave me time to pull myself together anyway!
Sweetie wanted to practice what it will look like when her teeth fall out. Can you picture it???
We have a challenge on the forum, the theme is "get low" (apparently there's a song??? not sure.) and so I thought I'd lay down and get this. It's definitely low but I don't know if I like it enough to make this one my entry. I have a week or so to come up with something so I'll keep trying.Eventually the freak outs subsided and we were able to get all the homework done without me following through on the urge to poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick!
