Santa Claus came to town!
We went to the family fellowship dinner this week & the girls got a visit with Santa & a little present too! There was some debate afterwards as to the authenticity of the visitor but in the end it was decided that he'd probably just trimmed his beard before coming!

Muddin'

We had some fun in the mud! The urge to stomp & squish was irresistible so I let them go to it and took pictures from a safe distance! Everything needed a good washing when they were done but they enjoyed it so much I figured it was worth a little extra laundry. It's not everyday there's a haywagon parked across the street unattended! LOL The joys & advantages of country livin'

Three in the Bed
The girls have become afraid of the dark and Honey seems the most bothered by it. Sweetie often requests her nightlight and will sometimes come crawl in with us around dawn. Last night around 4am Honey woke up scared and I tucked her back in with ToothFairy and laid down with her awhile until I thought she'd fallen back asleep. A few minutes later she was calling for me again so I took her to the bathroom and put her back in bed & left the bathroom light on for a few minutes but once I turned it off, she was upset again. I decided to tuck her in with Sweetie, hoping to take care of both of them! I told Sweetie that Honey was scared and wanted to cuddle with her and asked if she would let Honey sleep with her. She said sure and made room for her to crawl in. Once they were both settled, Sweetie said to Honey "ok, if you get scared, I'm right here OK?" and flopped back down asleep.
Tonight at bedtime, EVERYBODY wanted to sleep in Sweetie's bed! At 7:30 Murray asked if they were ready for bible stories but they were "toooooooooo tired" and wanted to go right to bed. We got them all set up and tucked in. Stern warnings were given about talking, giggling, playing etc. I left for my bible study group and when I got home, I asked how the pj party went.
Murray replied that they were all back in their own beds by 8pm. LOL so much for that!!!!!!!
Another cute sleepy anecdote:
I was taking Honey to the bathroom and on the way back to bed, I whispered in her ear "I love you!" (people in comas can hear, I figure sleepy toddlers might too!) She suddenly gave me a big squeeze and in a tiny whispery voice said "You're da best mumma in da whole world!"
Ok, on the count of three: one! two! three! ----> awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!
: ) :) :) :) :)
More Snow Bunnies
My most playful bunny today, she thought it'd be great fun to run and dodge as much as possible whenever she spotted the camera coming her way. Good practice for fast focussing though but I'm still a bit hit or miss in that department. Even though the focus fell on the tree trunk just in front of her, I loooooooooooooove this shot and how it conveys the absolute joyous mischieviousness of this girl!!!!!!!

they are loving the snow! (me, I'm just cold!)

Lovey really likes playing with Murphy. She's always holding his collar and leading him around and outside she tries to get him to do his tricks & was throwing the ball for him today. He totally doesnt' respect her & every time she gives him a command, he looks at me like "ugh, seriously Mum? do I have to????"

Welcome to our Snowdom
The bare ground couldn't last forever I guess and so the winter wonderland is upon us. The girls were pretty happy about it and wanted to play. Murray had them out this morning after I got home from the gym. He had a snowball fight with them & they thought that was just wild. It's always exciting at first but I forgot how much of a hassle it is to get all that gear on for 3 kids. Hopefully they'll figure out the new zippers & snaps soon!

Also, found these awesome mittens online, solves that bare wrist freezing in the cold problem! http://www.lbow.com/edis.html They're a little pricey but do you know how much time I spend outdoors, kneeling on the cold, hard ground, with my own mittens off, adjusting their little cuffs to re-tuck their mittens into their coats????? Some things are worth investing in!!!!!
Sleepover Madness!
I decided to have my cousin C over for a sleepover this week & she invited a friend from church, which led us to invite another friend from church and suddenly I had a sneak preview into the teen years for my own kids! It was exhausting but I seem to remember that that is very typical of sleepovers! I tried to tough it out but by 1am I was toast and had to bail out & leave them to their own devices. (risky, I know).

Nothing like a good hockey stick fight to keep the party going! I managed to stay out of the way but they were whacking each other pretty good..... strange girls.

Before I went up to bed, I decided I'd better pull the plug on the internet or who knows how late they'd be up talking to who knows who online. I just dumped the cord behind the piano in a jumble of other cords and figured that was camouflaged enough that they wouldn't bother with it. WRONG. I had to come back down because I'd forgotten something and saw they'd dug it out & reconnected. Realizing they couldn't be trusted to leave it alone, I took the power cord to bed with me while they were in the bathroom. I would have loved to have seen their faces when they sat back down at the desk & realized what had happened. I got a taste of their displeasure when I saw these pictures though:
