We have a new hobby, alder climbing. The bad news is that these don't have very sturdy limbs and don't grow very tall. The good news is that the limbs bend down when the girls step on them and they don't get very high off the ground!
The last few times we've gone out, they've asked to climb the trees, skirts and all! and like being able to climb up and then walk along the branches and get into another tree.
Sweetie is modelling this year's winter gear. You'll have to study the faces because they all have the same snowsuit and hat thingy. I looked around for snowsuits and was reluctant to fork over $100 for a kids' snowsuit. I found these at the grocery store for $45 and decided on them even though there weren't any other colour options. They didn't seem to care but this might be the last year I can get away with that ;)
After we came in from climbing, they had a little hot chocolate and then Lovey made supper all by herself (according to her!). She often leaves the tv & comes up to help in the kitchen and this time she added all the ingredients to the pan & stirred everything as it cooked and was very proud of "her" meal. Not so much that she'd clean her own plate but she did try just about everything so that's a start!
