My Birthday Boy!

Another crazy week at our house! I had a big event for the multiples club last weekend so was tied up with preparing for that all week with at least one sick kid home from school each day it seemed so no gym time for me. With the kids not feeling well I had to warn Mum off so there went my Friday afternoon! The girls slept quite a bit so I was able to work on stuff while they rested & were laid up on the couch.

Honey doing her "Uncle Dale" imitation. I have a picture of him when he was in elementary school doing this trick, hands free & they've been fascinated with it & trying to replicate this amazing feat!

seeing as how the nose dangling manoeuver didn't pan out, she thought she'd try the "optometrist trick"

Sweetie knows how to party!

It was Murray's bday this week so we celebrated in style! The girls & I went shopping on Tuesday, the one day they actually all went to school & we picked up some treats for Daddy for them to give him. They chose some of his favourite candies and it went over well!

Lovey still really wasn't feeling all that well and didn't eat any supper but we made an exception and still let her have dessert but it was barely touched. You know Lovey's sick when she leaves cake, icing & ice cream on the table!

She had high fevers almost every night and Sweetie seemed to be really sick too and it had started almost a week ago. After Murray's bout with strep throat and then MY encounter, I didn't want to take any chances right before a long holiday weekend. We went to see the doctor on Thurs afternoon. Sweetie was fine, just a bad cold but Lovey's ears looked like they might be coming down with an ear infection. I was glad to find that out BEFORE the weekend! We picked up her prescription and went home.

The girls got some mail this week and were just absolutely thrilled. Almost every day that I check the mailbox, they are so hopeful that something in there will be for them. Most days they are quite disgusted at the news that it's allllllllllllll for Murray & I. Yep, we sure hog all the fun stuff, ads, bills and more junk. They can't figure out why we get to have all the fun! So today, when I handed them each an envelope they were overjoyed. Honey knew right away it was mail from Grammie and Grandad because of the "curly wurly" writing!

Despite Lovey's thinly veiled suggestion of a square white cake with LOTS of pink roses, Murray felt chocolate cake & fudge icing was more his style. Lovey decided this would be alright but obviously didn't think he'd made a very good decision.

Murray likes to try everything on as soon as he opens it! He was quite happy with his boots, he'd been waiting awhile. He asked for some last year but no one took him seriously and he never got around to picking some up for himself.

Here's my cake for the dessert auction at church last week. Not sure what it went for but someone bought it I heard. The whole event went better than Nicolle had hoped and they raised a good amount for the Sunday school and the scholarship fund.

Happy Holy Week everyone!
