Neglected Birthday Boy

The lobster shot. The best way to get a nice smiling picture of Murray is to put one of these or a strawberry shortcake in front of him, guaranteed happiness!

He requested a pistachio chocolate tunnel cake instead of an icing type cake but I couldn't resist throwing SOME icing sugar on there!! Since I was leaving him the following day for my Seattle trip, I thought I'd better give him the right cake!

The girls have been exploding in their writing lately. They're coming home with pictures and narrations all over them. Sweetie made a book out of an old presentation thing I had and she somehow got a bunch of looseleaf to stay in it and then wrote on the cove with marker "Sweetie's Book Written by Sweetie Illustrated by Sweetie"

"I have a disco ball"
I have a bunny.

Annie/Mum/Grammie/GG

Just showing off my Grammie! She's almost 92 years old and is still busier than most of us! She is on the go constantly & is currently in town visiting so she can catch some of the grandkids performances. She got back from a several week trip to Florida with her older sister and one of my aunts.

She came for dinner at M&D's last night but couldn't stay too long because she had to get to her next activity! She still cooks her own meals and bakes her own bread & doughnuts & misc other goodies that we love to eat. If you look very closely you can see a bit of dirt under her nails from all her gardening activity.

She has many many talents & strengths, however, she is terrible at posing for pictures! I parked her here and got ready to take the shot and saw this blah expression on her face. I couldn't have that so I said "is THAT as happy as you get????" and then she cracked up, click! sneaky but effective right?

Party Time!

We went up to M&D's for the birthday celebration this afternoon and had quite the feast! Dad was grilling some good looking ribs when we got there, mmmm mmm mmmm! He uses a special seasoning technique we like to call deck sauce, really enhances the flava!

Sweetie decided to do accessorize Grandad and found the perfect thing for his outfit! You can tell how much he loves it :)

Mumma was quite relieved to find her favourite coffee (about a week's supply at their place!) in the last gift she opened.

Me & my Mumma!

Aunt Cathy & Grammie/GG joined us for supper since GG is in town and we had a good feast and put a major dent in that cake!
