Birthday Boy

I'm so behind on blogging events so this is out of order, but it's and my official blog motto is "better late than never".

We celebrated Dad's birthday here and had movie night so the girls had the best Saturday night they could imagine! A cake! A party! Grandparents! Family movie night! and let's not forget, movie SNACKS!!!

Thanks for sharing your birthday festivities here Dad, a good time was had by all (especially those who remained awake for the feature presentation eh? ;)))

Fall Approaching!

Looks like our spell of nice warm weather is fading :( We really can't complain after the fantastic summer we've had, asking for more would be downright greedy but.... well I just can't help wanting it to last a little longer!!! Getting ready for school in the morning is a confusing scene. They want to dress for what it will be like in the afternoon and then are chilly at the bus stop! if they dress for morning, they're roasting on the bus on the way home. Can't win right now!

With fall come the apples! We went apple picking with our church on the weekend and for the first time the girls did not break the bank! Somehow they got distracted part way through and no one filled a bag. We usually have more apples than we can carry. This year I think I might have to go back just so we can make applesauce and pies! (and by "we" I totally mean "Murray") They had a lot of fun with the other kids so that's the main thing right?
