Roll Out the Barr..... errr Trampoline!!!

Murray & Honey tucked the trampoline away into the garage just before we got snow last fall and the kids have been asking about it for a couple of weeks now that we are occasionally getting decent weather. Now that the ground is a bit drier, it's time for some bounce around fun.

All the girls helped drag it out and get it into place, I was of course needed on the sidelines to document this exciting event! (or I would have been right in there for sure!) Considering it had been done by 2 people before, I was pretty confident that the 4 of them could handle it.

They planned their path, chanted "heave! HO! heave! HO!" in unison and grunted and groaned with the strain but were very pleased with themselves at the same time. They felt very important to have done this big job!

Once it was in place, they wasted no time getting in there and spent an hour jumping around, taking turns bouncing each other and even Murray got a turn being the "popcorn".

Now bring on the rest of summer!!!

Girl After My Own Heart

Mmmmmm Chocolate!!!!! Whatever she was eating here, probably something from Easter, she certainly got into it :))) Until she sees the mirror, she has no idea how much of a mess she's making. It's probably better that way, I'd hate to infringe on this level of enjoyment when it comes to chocolate!
When the girls were babies, they were being monitored for development and one of the activities had to do with tactile stuff. They were given chocolate pudding, some paper and a spoon to do some finger painting. Lovey was a piece of work when it was all done. Very little pudding got on her paper but she thoroughly enjoyed the project. This evening reminded me of that pudding painting!

Field Trip!

Honey's class went to check out the hospital last week and they were able to see a lot of equipment and learn about the jobs there. They each got a finger cast done which they loved! Lovey's class already went on a different day but I wasn't able to go that day. When Lovey came home, she managed to put on quite a sad face and sadly say "Mummy, something bad happened at school today". Immediately concerned, I asked her what had happened and she pulled her hand out from behind her back and showed me cast on her finger (which she'd colored red to look bloody?) and said "I broke my finger!". Of course I had a mini panic moment and then realized a) the school would call me immediately if she'd broken anything and b) she'd had her hospital tour that day.

After getting their casts and checking out some equipment, they kids all got a tour of the pediatric unit which they were very interested in. The whole thing was over 2 hours and by the time we got back to the school, it was almost noon.

To Market to Market to....

buy us some good eats!!!! :)))

Murray was out of town for the day so we headed to the market yesterday morning! I'm not sure why we only go when Murray's not around, I'm pretty sure he's not a market hater! Normally I'm at the gym for a class Sat am so we could never get up, out the door, to the market and back home again by 9am I guess! So when it's just us girls, we live it up!

I think most of the finer points of the market are kindof lost on us. We're really just there for the cool snacks. I bought a bottle of blueberry juice, 3 hotdogs, some french fries, doughnuts and we brought our own water. Livin' it up!!!!!!! The only things that interest me are edible! Probably not a good idea for me to skip the gym & do the market too often in that case!!!
