It's a Petti thing!

I saw these skirts online several months ago & when a special deal became available, I couldn't resist the fluffy ruffles and excellent twirlability! If they came in my size, I'd probably have one too. Actually, the girl custom makes everything so I could probably get one, now that I think of it!!!

They're called pettiskirts & are very popular as a prop for photographers. Many keep a bunch in their studios for girls to wear at their session. I just wanted them for my girls but I can see the appeal! They came from http://www.missthingsboutique.com/ and they are beautiful skirts. Lovey's is a little different because it has the solid material on top for the polka dots. The other two just have the sheer material and well it's VERY sheer. When they twirl, and the skirt flares out, you can see right through all the layers of tulle. When they're standing still, it's not so revealing but c'mon, what 4 year old is gonna stand still in a skirt like that????? So except for the sheer factor, I'm thrilled with these.

Lovey taking her skirt out for a spin.

I think she likes it too!!!!!!

Dancing Up a Storm!

This was New Year's Eve, Honey was away for her sleepover at Play Play Play Party Palace (aka Grammie & Grandad's) and these two were supposed to be getting ready for bed.

Instead, they got Mr Guitar Hero to fire up his Hannah Montanna model and they had a dance show. They sang their own songs and had lots of energy so it was probably good to get that all out before trying to go to sleep anyway!

After the first act, it was time for a wardrobe change and then it was a
fairy dance party.

Do these chicks know how to have a good time or what?

Surprisingly, after the dance show was over, they actually went to bed fairly well & weren't long drifting off. Lovey was lonely without Honey so again, Sweetie's presence was requested and she was very accomodating. What are sisters for? : )))

Bye Bye Love! Hello Loneliness...

Ok so we're not suffering toooooooooo much but Lovey is gone! She has cashed in for a reward of a sleepover at Grammie's house. She was very excited to pack her bag and get her things ready to go and kept asking what time Grammie was coming for her. Mum has a few days of vacation and is going to spend most of them having sleepovers so they can each have a special visit of their own.
They've been talking about this for quite awhile & have been looking forward to it. I'm not sure this will be much of a vacation really but it will be HUGE for them. So, Mumma & Papa C, THANK YOU verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry much! When they get to go somewhere on their own it means so much to them & they greatly enjoy having someone's full attention for a change and they talk a mile a minute sometimes because they can!

The girls left behind were a little put out that Lovey was going off to the coveted playland but bounced back quickly. I was out doing a photoshoot & they stayed home with Murray & got to watch one of their new movies and when I got home, they hit me up to play with the locked up Polly Pockets that haven't been out in months and months. Within a few minutes, it was easy to remember how they'd gotten banished to underneath our bed! Fight fight, whine, whine, I want, she has, I need, that's mine, you can't have, where's my, Hey you took..... They did clean them up very nicely when we said it was story time though so I may let them out of the box again tomorrow but we'll see.

At bedtime, Honey was quite concerned with sleeping alone in her bedroom without Lovey. She was starting to get upset so I asked Sweetie if she'd sleep in Lovey's bed tonight. She jumped out from under her covers, hollering "Just a minute Honey!!!!!!!! I'll be RIGHT there! DON'T Worry, I'm coming!!!!!!!!!!" and she bounded right into the room, full of tips on how Honey could burrow under her blankets if she felt scared because "that's what I do when I get scared in my room!"
Then after the lights were out & we'd already given hugs & kisses, I was in the bathroom cleaning up stuff & I overheard them saying goodnight to each other. "I love you very very much Honey" "I love you very very much too Sweetie".
How cute is that?????????

ok, so I played with the Polly Puke-Its too but only artistically & for photography practice!

in a Wii bit of pain!

Murray, celebrating his victory over his mother. (Nancy is pointing out a defect in the game that led to this ;)))

Murray's parents got us a Wii for Christmas so we've been trying it out over the weekend. Murray & I took a stab at the boxing and I'm sure it looked hilarious to see us swinging wildly at the air! I must have been a little over enthusiastic because my back is very sore now! I thought I must have done something to it in a class at the gym but they I remembered the boxing and that's definitely the culprit. Murray's playing tennis against the machine right this moment, getting better and better and soon I won't stand a chance! Rick & Nancy came to visit for a couple of days & they got in on the action too!
