Can YOU see London????

The girls were very ramped up the other night and we got treated to this special performance!

Just in case you're unfamiliar or don't speak hystericalese:

I see London, I see France
I see Daddy's underpants!

Lovey aka Flowergirl

Honey went out to a hockey game tonight so Lovey & I did a practice run on her wedding hairdo tonight while Sweetie was engrossed in Princess Wii :)

I was planning on using pink elastics for the wedding so I practiced with blue ones in case I had to cut them out afterwards but now that I see how the colour stands out, I don't like it so I'll have to go looking for the clear ones instead. I did this quickly as it was getting close to bedtime and need to work on evening out the joining pieces so they line up better on the actual day but overall the Flowergirl approved of the design! :)

I took her shopping for shoes today as we don't have any white ones and the black just doesn't work. We found some at Children's Place and I found a 15% off coupon online before we left so that was a bonus! Afterwards we went in search of hair ornaments and found those too, buy one get one half price woot woot! So we're all set for the big event :) I just have to figure out how to twist those rhinestones in so you don't see the coil thingy... but I have a whole week to work on that :)))

Fashion Show!

We have a last minute wedding to go to next weekend and are pulling together outfits! Lovey is going to be the flowergirl so I put the call out on Facebook that I needed a dress for her and got lots of help from friends who dropped off outfits or offered some. She's pretty enchanted with the next door neighbour's white communion dress so that means someone else gets to wear the other fancy dress that was loaned to us. Luckily I'd picked up a nice dress at the used store or maybe our clothing sale? and saved it since it was a little big at the time I got it. Honey & Sweetie were debating who got the pouffy one when I remembered my stash. I mentioned I had another option and Honey wanted it as soon as she saw it so it all worked out perfectly. Everybody's happy & I'm only out $6.99 :)))

Honey & Sweetie had a fashion show to model their new attire and lined the hallway with their stuffed audience and had us sit at the end of the runway to watch the show.

Lovey didn't care for the way they organized the entrance/exits and took her dress off and refused to come out. Flowergirl's gettin' herself some attitude!!!! LOL

The Hills are Alive.....

.....with the sound of shrieking!

The girls got off the bus and threw their bookbags in the door and raced off to grab their sliding saucers. Tulip's mom met her here so she could play & then went home to grab a nap before her night shift tonight.

They went down every hill they could find in the yard and some places that weren't really even suitable for sliding. At one point they were going down the back of a hill, through some trees, into the ditch and across the neighbour's driveway. I had to put the kaibosh on that, after getting a few pictures of this dangerous activity of course! (well it did look kindof fun! in that "potentially poke your eye out sort of way!)
Murphy likes to wait with me at the bus stop to meet the girls!

Honey! if you have to brace yourself, cover your eyes and protect your face, maybe this isn't the hill for you dear!

Dinner Guest!

Last week we invited Shirley to join us for Valentine's but the weather didn't allow for easy travel so we postponed it. She missed out on the scallops but scored some meatballs instead. She had to fight Lovey & Honey for themthough! Those two can't get enough of that meal. It's still really odd to see them gung ho for a meat dish but hey, strike while the iron's hot right?

Shirley had read here that the girls were enjoying the 1st book in the Harry Potter series and brought them the 2nd one in the series! We were all thrilled to have the next one lined up as the first was almost finished. They chattered happily all through dinner, telling her all about the story. After dinner they dragged her right to the living room so they could have story time with her and give her the Harry Potter experience! It's funny to see them all piled up in the rocker like that. This was the norm when Shirley came each Thursday but the 4 of them fit in there a little easier back then!
We did finish off the Philosopher's Stone and are now into the Chamber of Secrets so we'll have to bring you book #1 so you get more than the haphazard Cliff notes version at the dinner table Shirley! Thank you for coming, we're glad to have you!!!

Happy Birthday Teena!!!!!!

Teena had a birthday today! I thought I'd surprise her by decorating a cake and dropping it off with some flowers! So I got the cake baked & base layer of frosting done last night, picked up the flowers this morning and finished decorating after lunch. I know she has to pick Boo up off the bus at 2:25 so I picked my girls up from school and went straight to her house.

Well guess who got the surprise? Nobody home! Luckily I have a key to let myself in or I'd have been freezing out in the driveway for awhile. Honey was appalled when I said we were going inside to wait. "Mooooooooooooooom, isn't that..... well.... RUDE??????????" She wouldn't get out of the car until I explained that Teena had told me it was ok to let myself in if they weren't home.

She got home a little while later but didn't have Boo with her! I'd put a movie on for the girls at this point so they wouldn't drag out every toy Boo owned so Teena & I got to visit a little but not enough!!!! We're booking a lunch date to get further caught up on our exciting lives! :)))

Hope the rest of your day was fabulous T!!!!
Aging well isn't she????
