HBTM! Twice!

First we celebrated at M&D's last night, yummy chicken pot pie & birthday cake mmmmmmm!
and today was a little weird but nice! Every time I turned around I was banging things, knocking something out of the cupboard, tipping things.... (even worse than usual Mum).
Murray hasn't been feeling well but he stayed up last night to bake a cake for me & after his run this morning he decorated it with nice bright colours and flowers and stripes & everything.
Then I was trying to get stuff ready for supper and moved something on the counter which bumped into soemthing else which bumped into the cooling rack that the cake container was sitting on and the whole thing slid off & flipped over, landing with a sickening thud. Thank goodness it was inside the carrier already & was still edible. The cake held up well and didn't break, some of the icing got mashed around but it held up well overall.

Uncle Dale came over for a visit but he wasn't feeling well either and didn't even want anything to eat. We sent some cake home with him though so he can have it tomorrow.

Before he left, he read the girls their new favourite book "The Lorax". It's by Dr Seuss so has all that great rhyming. It's all about this creature who decides to take all of the fluffy "Truffula" trees and ruins the whole forest, drives away all the animals and doesn't care until it's too late and there's nothing left. The girls are fascinated with it. They can't believe anyone would do such a thing just to sell something. What I can't believe is that Dr Seuss wrote this book FORTY years ago and the same problem is still going on today!
