BFF's

Lovey made a very close friend at school last year, "T" and we heard this about T and that about T and things like "this is T's favourite shirt on me!!!" As far as I could tell, T was perfect and lived on some sort of pedestal in Lovey's eyes and possibly sported wings and a halo! It turned out they went to the same school for Irish dancing and at the end of the year, we found out they'd even be in the same class at their elementary school next year. Lovey was so happy! She absolutely adores T and never tires of telling us about stuff they do together. It is so cute to see how much affection they have for each other!

Unfortunately, T lives out of town and we haven't seen her since school got out, between bad weather and trips to the cottage, things have been busy. It was T's birthday this week though & all our girls were invited to her party. The day of, Lovey was so anxious and kept saying "I'm so excited I get to see T today!!!"

Finally it was time to go and as soon as T spotted us coming, she made a beeline for the girls. She was running so hard that she tumbled in her excitement. There were happy hugs all around and from then on she & Lovey were glued together. Everywhere T went, she wanted Lovey by her side. "Come on, let's go get food, sit by me Lovey, I'm putting my chair next to Lovey, would it be ok if I sat on your blanket next to Lovey? Lovey come stand by me while I open presents etc etc. Too cute to see them enjoy each other's company. None of T's & Lovey's other classmates made it so it was nice to have a few kids her own age there (us triplet folk round out the numbers in a hurry!)

The girls all started doing some Irish dancing when they heard some music coming from a nearby gazebo. They ate, played and had a great time. Lovey brought T a sand dollar we'd found at the beach and I wrote her name on the back & the year. Definitely not the fanciest present there but she seemed pretty happy with it. Sweetie & Honey gave her some other stuff but the "personalized" sand dollar was just from Lovey.
