The Great Outdoors :)

Another fine day in our great metropolis haha! It is sooooo nice to still have sun at a time of year we're usually freezing our buns off. I'll take it as long as we can get it!
Today afterschool, we invited the neighbour kids over for a "popsicle party". The girls ran over to ask them and they did not have to ask twice! Everybody was back in no time, ready for the festivities.

After they left, we played around in the front yard & started checking out some lumber Grandad left behind from the decking project. We made a little seating area that the girls were completely enthralled with. It's not nailed down so they couldn't do much other than sit still but that was exciting enough for today.

Honey indulged me with some poses and was all vogued out :)

Sweetie's always willing to do a Bunny shot :)

We had company for supper tonight! Our long time hero and new blogfan, Shirley! Little does she know, she has been featured on the blog many times in the past. If she digs back far enough in the "older posts" section she might find some of those posts :)

We will be forever appreciative of Shirley's assistance during the baby days, toddler years and beyond. The girls absolutely adore her and have been missing her a lot. They kept asking when we could see her again and when we ran into her on a shopping errand, they were pretty happy about that, but it wasn't quite enough. Luckily she was able to come over tonight and eat with us and they got their cuddles, some stories annnnnnnnnnd tickets to a play for Christmas! Apparently she's not done spoiling us yet (not that we're complaining). Thank you Shirley for all the love and care and your generosity with your time. You have made a big impression on us and our girls have truly benefited from your giving spirit. We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The girls managed to stay still and quiet while Shirley looked around the yard for them. They couldn't keep the giggles in forever though and she was able to figure out their location!

Good times in a tree, ain't life grand?

oh and Grandad? um, you know we can't be trusted to secure this properly right? ;)
