Guess Who Lost the 1st Tooth???

Teeth have been of great interest lately! When they actually remember to think about it, there is MUCH discussion on who in their class has lost any and they like to check their own out every once in awhile & look for any wigglers! When this girl got off the bus today, I was totally unprepared for the answer to "Guess what happened today Mumma!!!!"

We just noticed that she had a loose front tooth the other day and that the new one was already pushing through the gums. She didn't really want to mess around with it although it wouldn't have taken much to pull it out.

Well out it came today! It was actually an accident. She and another girl were talking on the bus and the other girl was waving her mittens around and one brushed the loose tooth and that was it! As soon as it happened, she thanked the other girl because she'd been wanting to get that tooth out but was afraid to pull on it.

When Lovey got to school, somehow with the tooth still in her possession, one of the teachers gave her this cool case to keep the tooth in til she got home. As soon as I realized she'd lost the tooth at school, I started asking "where is it now??? do you still have it??? did you lose it on the bus???" but she was so excited telling me the story that she couldn't stop to answer me. I had to wait for the whole thing to be told before she could let me know it was safe in her bookbag. I was a little sad that I didn't get to see her when it happened but it's fun seeing her excitement after the fact too. I now present the cutest little toothless wonder you ever did see! It's funny to remember back when I found the first tooth that came in (Sweetie) and now we're all excited again over the reverse!

Sweetie has had wiggler for months. The dentist detected it ages ago but at the time it wasn't even noticeable to us, only to his expertly trained eye or something. Now that Lovey beat her out of the gate, she's more invested in getting that tooth moving! She's been evaluating the progress in the mirror often this evening!
