The girls seem much better today, there was much less whining and fussing anyway. Murray's still resisting the flu so far but has succumbed to a terrible cold. However, things were improved enough around here that I could take off & catch a movie with Teena. She was ready & waiting for me with tickets & munchies in hand when I ran in at the last minute. We watched The Ex and really liked it and then I came home.
Murray had taken the girls outside to pick some of their beloved dandelions & all was well while I was out. I feel much less guilty about having an outing if I hear that he didn't suffer too much while I was gone!
For supper we'd planned to BBQ our first cheeseburgers of the season but found our tank was empty! Not the same on the indoor grill but it worked. We got the kids in bed early again just to be on the safe side & enjoyed a nice evening!
Oh! the girls have discovered jewelry. This weekend, I got out some necklaces that I'd tucked in their drawer a couple years ago. They've been infatuated with them ever since. Sweetie wears hers all day, only parting with it for bath time & then again at bedtime. She won't let me put it back into the drawer, it has to stay on her nightstand. Then as soon as she wakes up in the morning, she wants it back on. So if anyone is talking to "Nana Barb", tell her the teddy bear necklaces that she gave them for their baptism, are a BIG hit!
Being sick seems to bring out a productive streak in Murray! This weekend, he moved his old speakers out to the garage, brought in Sweetie's dresser & got her mirror strung with wire & hung on the wall and put a full length mirror up in our room. ALL this activity was completely unprompted by me. I hadn't even mentioned that I wanted any of those things done. He just decided to do it. I'm not going to question it, just enjoy it. : ))) Thanks Hawney!
