Sachberry's Supports Haiti

What's that you say? You've never been to Sachberry's? What do you mean you've never even heard of it? Granted, it is very new and is a business venture launched by three 5½ year olds with absolutely no experience whatsoever.

This piece was snatched up quickly by a savvy buyer who made her reservation by phone for the piece titled "Exploding Acorn", sight unseen. Upon confirmation from the client (aka Grammie), Sweetie quickly affixed the "sold" ticket so other interested parties would not get their hopes up.

Consider this the grand opening announcement! Sweetie's Art Shop, also known as Sachberry's, is now open for business. The creative geniuses have been hard at work, using only the highest quality materials available in the Crayola line. Many pieces are already available in the shop although Grammie was here today and bought several.

Featured above (but already sold) is the Exploding Acorn, Strawberry and Rainbow. Can't you just feel the energy this piece exudes?

Honey is putting the finishing touches on another rainbow themed work. I believe this piece is still available but I expect there to be high demand once this post goes public so be sure to post your offer quickly in the comment section lest you miss out on your chance to own a Sachberry original.
Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of Lovey's "Rainbow Waterfall" but rest assured it was another marvel of sparkle, glitter and vivid colour. Grandad was able to secure this new objet d'art and is now the proud owner of this fresh new piece.

The artists are donating a large portion of all sales to the earthquake victims in Haiti. Honey is a tough negotiator and was heard on the phone with a potential buyer the other day:

Honey: would you like to buy it?

Buyer: how much is it?

Honey: $20

Buyer: TWENTY DOLLARS???? Can't you give me a better price than that????

Honey: Grammie! that IS a good price!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily Grammie drives a hard bargain as well and was able to talk her down to $3. All of Honey's earnings are being donated.

Sweetie was describing the new Sachberry's shop to Grammie and Grandad, explaining her various canvases and prices.

Sweetie: did you want to reserve one?

Grammie: oh, well..... that Exploding one sounds interesting. How much is it?

Sweetie: $3

Grammie: and are you donating your money too?

Sweetie: wellllllllllllll..... I'm going to give some of it to the poor people and keep some for me.

Grammie: well that sounds fair. I'll take the Exploding one then.

Sweetie: Ok!!!!!!

Lovey didn't do any telephone sales but did secure a deal once Grammie was in the shop today. She was not very flexible in her pricing, despite Grammie's best efforts, she would not budge from the sticker price. Grammie made several offers but Lovey adamantly refused them all. She would not take more than a penny for her artwork. "Why would anybody want to spend more than a penny on THIS?!?!?!? So Grammie had to put away her loonie and dig out some copper.

The girls would like everyone to know about their shop as they are anxiously awaiting the crowds to arrive and browse their merchandise. They are discussing this daily, wondering how many people will come. If you're in the neighbourhood and are in need of some updated looks for your walls, bring some coin and shop to your heart's delight. They will also take requests for commissioned pieces if you have a theme in mind. :)
